Pitcher portraying "Mischevous Sport" and "Sportive Innocence." "Mischevous Sport" portrays two young boys in robes playing with a devil head. "Sportive Innocense" portrays a girl holding a doll and a boy with a dog. Green leaves encircle the images. The decoration is raised. Some of the colors have a metallic look. Multicolor with pearl background.
Pitcher is salt glazed ware made before 1780, possibly crouch ware of Derbyshire, England. This example was evidently made from a worn out mold used in silver casting, for it resembles in shape silver pitchers of the same date.
