One of two photos showing dignitaries at the dedication of Plaque on wall of Atwood Machine Co. It reads "1814-1914 (star and anchor with USD 1812). Near this spot was located the fort in which the defenders of Stonington Connecticut bravely battled and drove the British Squadrons from our shores on the memorable days of 9, 10, and 11 August 1814. Erected by the National Socieety of United States Daughters of 1812, Stonington Connecticut". Gov. Baldwin (L) and Warden Cornelius Crandall at dediction of plaque for Battle of 1814.
