Card showing rails and ships at Steamboat Landing dock in 1908 Sent to James B. Noyes, Esq. Turnerville CT Apr. 17, 1908
Newsclipping: from New Haven Register, Jan. 17, 1971 "Connecticut's two earliest railroad charters were granted in 1832 to the New York and Stonington Railroad, projected to run between Providence and Stonington, and to the Boston, Norwich and New London Railroad, to run between Norwich and Worcester. These two roads were, paradoxically enough, highly competitive, though they nowhere touched the same town, and ran in quite diverse directions."
