Description

Cyanotype with color photo enlargement, the Manor Inn Pond. Given to the Society by Harry Northup before his death. With note: "This scene is looking North towards Manor Inn Pond. In the narrow area in the distance can be seen a small bridge which was part of the driveway going up to Briar Patch and the pond where the Vargas Brothers harvested ice for their ice business. The land to the right would be where the Manor Inn Hotel was located. The Navy now owns the property, for entertaining and relaxation. Today U.S. Route 1 cuts across the cove about where this picture was taken. The water in this picture is part of Quanaduc Cove and was a great area for spearing eels."
