The Steamer "Larchmont" "The 252 ft. Joy LIne steamship LARCHMONT plying between Providence RI and New York City on Feb. 11, 1907 collided with the schooner HARRY P. KNOWLTON 3 1/4 miles SSE of Watch Hill Light. At 3 degrees above zero over 150 persons died in the tragedy. 75 frozen bodies came ashore on Block Island." Color photo Painting by Ellery F.
