Hartford, April 11th 1777 Order to the Treasurer signed by Ezekiel Williams to pay Joseph Gallup (Capt.) for his company's service during the Battle of Stonington in 1775 as well as for service in 1776 and 1777. Gallup signed receipt on verso for L108-17-7. Joseph Gallup was captain of a militia company that responded to Wallace's attack on Stonington
