Nathaniel Palmer signed receipt on verso; John Treadwell signed as auditor on verso, Sept 1, 1777 No. 5060 Nathaniel Palmer was a soldier in the American Revolution. In 1776, as captain, he was placed in command of a Company of musket men at Stonington under the overall command of Maj. Jonathan Wells. John Treadwell was later Governor of Connecticut
