Signed by Jonathan Trumbull, Governor On verso John Holt, Jr. writes his receipt of the Pay Table Order. John Trumbull (1710-1785) was Revolutionary War governor of Connecticut and advisor to General Washington who referred to him as "Brother Jonathan" Wartime documents of Trumbull are quite scarce.
