Description

Color photograph of the home at 101 Main Street in Stonington Borough. The home was built by Andrew Wheaton Perry (1867-1948) between 1910 and 1914, using reclaimed wood from the steamboat City of Worcester, which sank in the New London Harbor on May 29, 1898. The home remained in the family until it was sold in 2006. Stonington Lumber Company was started by A.W. Perry and his son Burrows in 1929.
