a- Hat Black wool hat size 7 lack lacquered leather visor and crown band brass emblem above visor 4 inches X 4 inches indicates ? fire brigade Torch, #7 red wool Pro Patria et Gloria (for country and glory) Brass button hooks at sides to attach chin strap, these hooks have 2 cannons in crossed position heavily braided cotton cord looped through brass rings and hangs to visor and back of hat brass rings are attached to brass shield with 13 stars small round vents of black wire mesh at top of crown and sides of hat crown 10 X 9 inches with a rise of 5 1/2 inches interior has trade mark stamp black cotton lining at top of crown and linen on sides deep black leather band shaped in 6 waves with eyes for threading adjustable cord b- Plume white wool 4 1/2 inch with decorative metal prong attached to flat metal 2 inch sheath b- Plume
