Description

Exterior photograph of 101 Main Street in Stonington Borough, built by Andrew Wheaton Perry (1867-1948). Andrew married Ella Louise Park (1867-1957) in 1892 and they had three children: Burrows, Mildred and Anna. Allegedly, Andrew built this home with a "grand stand" on the front so the family would have a good view of the 1914 Battle of Stonington Centennial Parade. The upper deck was later enclosed, as evidenced by this photograph.
