Description

Ladies Three Piece Dress of Plum Satin and Cream Floral Brocade of Silk Satin Polonaise style, possibly revival of 1880 Hand and machine stitching a- Bodice- Front opening with 10 handsewn buttonholes, top one is sewn together fitted with 11 bones mandarin collar 8 covered wooden buttons ( 2 of 10 are missing) one inch ruffled trim at lower edge 3 1/4 sleeves with underpinning of machine made lace 2 circular weights at bottom front edges lined with cream colored cotton Peterson Belt with safety pin at eye edge b-Skirt- Handsewn plum satin with silk satin brocade center panel wool and buckram lining hoop in back upper edge with cloth ties full hip panels with 4 large tucks trimmed with 2 1/2 inch brocade and ruffle trim of same 3 inch accordin pleated trim at hemedge 3 back panels and 3 front panels 4 areas on front center panel have been replaced center back panel slightly V shaped at lower edge and slightly darker in color c-Vest- plum satin 4 button closure, handsewn buttonholes 7 bones cream colored cotton lining square neck, basting stitches at neckedge unfinished armscye
