Rebuilding of the SS Lansing in Stonington, early 1919. The lower levels or base of the pilot house appear to be completed. A few workers carry buckets, or apply a coating to the exterior. Due to clothing worn by the workers, this photograph was most likely taken in early 1919. The Lansing steamship was rebuilt by the Ship Construction and Trading Company, Inc. of Stonington for the Nafra Company of New York.Made/Created
