Camp Hill: Daniel Drawbaugh reportedly invented the phone in 1874, two years before Alexander Graham Bell, but was short on capital. Drawbaugh solicited funding from Harrisburg bankers, who thought the idea ridiculous and him to invent a self-measuring molasses faucet instead.
