Scope and Content

This photograph collection primarily consists of the Hall and Williams family and their extended relations of Chester County, Pennsylvania. At some point in the 20th century the family and photographs extend to Meadville of Crawford County, Pennsylvania.

Context

Photograph of (left to right) Claude W. Williams (1859-1943), Ida Rodgers Stackhouse (b. 1854), Lewis Rodgers (1857-1945), Lulu Mabel Hall (1863-1937); 1919 Ida Rodgers Stackhouse and Lewis Rodgers are siblings and cousins with Mabel Hall through their common grandparents Thomas Hall (1777-1859) and Phebe Mode (1784-1875). Claude Williams is Mabel's sister Sakie (or "Sarah Agnes") Hall Williams's husband. Ida's husband, Emlen T. Stackhouse (1853-1919), died earlier that year in January 1919.
