Scope and Content

This photograph collection primarily consists of the Hall and Williams family and their extended relations of Chester County, Pennsylvania. At some point in the 20th century the family and photographs extend to Meadville of Crawford County, Pennsylvania.

Context

Elwood (1855-1938) and Amy Ida Glisson (1857-1944), with Lewis Stanton Brown (1907-1941), circa 1910. Lewis is Amy Ida Glisson's aunt Rosanna B. Smith Hall (1836-1905)'s sister Sarah Ann Smith Wilcox (1832-1917)'s great-grandson. He is the grandson of Harriet "Hattie" Wilcox Brown (1854-1926) and son of Harry "Harrie" H. Brown (1879-1938) and Nora L. M. Brown (1877-1937). The Browns lived in Conneaut, Ashtabula County, Ohio, about thirty miles from Meadville, Crawford County, PA.
