To the Sheriff his Deputy or to either of the Town Sergeants or Constables in the County of Bristol in the Colony of Rhode Island [?] Greeting Whereas Ephraim Cole of Swonzey [Swansea] in the County of Bristol in the Province of the Massachusetts Bay [?] yeomen: Commenced an action of the case against William Arnold of Warren in said county of Bristol and said colony of Rhode Island [?] at a Justices Court held at the house of John Kinnicut [Esquire] in said Warren on the 25th: day of October AD: 1766: where the said Ephraim Cole recovered a judgment of court against the said William Arnold for one pound eight shillings & nine pence lawfull money debt, and cost of suit taxed at four shillings & seven pence lawfull money as of record of said court appears while sums in the whole ammount to one pound thirteen shillings and four pence for which execution remains to be done. There are therefore in his majestic name George the Third of Great Britain & King to command you or either of you, that of the goods and chattels of the said William Arnold within your precinct you execute and levy the aforsaid sum of one pound eight shillings and nine pence debt, with four shillings & seven pence cost as aforesaid at the vallue thereof, together with six pence lawfull money for this execution [?] also the lawfull fees that shall be due for the services of this execution and there with satisfy and pay the aforesaid Ephraim Cole the aforsaid sum due to him and for want of sufficient efforts of the said William Arnold to be by you found to satisfy and pay the aforsaid Ephraim Cole, you are hereby required to take the body of the said William Arnold into your custody and him safely secure in his majesties [?] in said county untill he satisfy and pay the said Ephraim Cole the aforsaid sum or [?] he be discharged by due course of law therefrom. Hereof fail not but true return make within forty day from this date, how you serve this writ. Given under my hand and seal at Warren aforsaid the fifteenth day of November in the seventh year of his majesties reign. AD 1766 John Kinnicut Justice of Peace.
