Letter to Rev. David Benedict from G.M. FessendenDescription
Fessenden writes to Rev. David Benedict informing him of his completion of the examination of Roger Williams’ journey from Salem to Seekonk. Due to it’s size, the document was sent to Providence to be forwarded to Benedict. It appears Fessenden extended the length of the article after speaking with Brown professor and friend, William Gammell, who disagrees with him on a matter pertaining to Roger Williams, with Gammell promising to have it published in the Providence Journal. Fessenden seeks for Benedict to read the essay and advise on the matter. Letter is cut off at the bottom.Creator
