The Potzdam Musket was the standard infantry weapon used by the Royal Prussian Army and were created in Germany. They were also widely used during the Revolutionary War period in the United States by both the British and the Americans.

According to card in Historical Card Catalog, "(this musket) was carried in the Revolution by Comfort Stanley." The back of the card indicates it was a gift of Vial Stanley, but no date is provided.
