Transcription: Know [illegible] by these presents that I John Child of Warren in the County of Bristol and Colony of Rhode Island Gentlemen; for and in Consideration of the Sum of one Hundred and Thirty Five pounds Lawfull [LAWFUL] Money of the Colony of Rhode Island to me in hand paid before the Ensealing and Delivery hereof by Nathaniel Whiting of the Same Warren Mariner the Receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge; and my self therewith fully and entirely Sattisfied [SATISFIED]; Have bargained and sold, set over and Conveyed; and by these presents do bargain sell, set over and Convey, unto the Said Nathaniel Whiting. A Certain Sloop Called the Abigail; burthen [BURDEN] about Twenty six Tuns [TONS] with all Her Rigging, Sails, Boats, Cables, Anchors, Oars, [TACKLE?], and appertenances [APPURTENANCES] to her in any wise appertaining and Belonging, To Have and to Hold the hereby Bargained premises until the said Nathaniel Whiting his Heirs Executors and Administrators and Assigns, to their only proper use, benefit, and behoof forever, and I the Said John Child for myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators, the hereby bargained Premises unto the Said Nathaniel Whiting, his Heirs, Executors, Administrators and Assigns, against myself and my Heirs Executors & Administrators, and against all and Every Person and Persons whatsoever, lawfully Claiming to Claim the same, Shall and will warrant, & forever defend by these presents. In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and Seal the Twenty fourth Day of December in the fifteenth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third King of Great Brittain [BRITAIN] & Anno Dom 1774 Sealed and Delivered in Presence of us John Child William Lewis John [?] Child
