PROCLAMATION
Whereas: Donald Milson Medley was a loyal, gentle man who served his town and fellow townsmen well, and
Whereas: He was a doer of deeds and always accomplished what he set out to do, and
Whereas: His understanding and firm hand guided the George Hail Free Library for many years, first as a Trustee and then as the President, a position he held until his death, and
Whereas: The Children's Library took form and advanced under his administration
Now Therefore: The Board of Trustees of the George Hail Free Library will honor Donald Wilson Medley by placing a special memorial plaque in the Children's Library, naming it the Donald Wilson Medley Children's Room where his warm presence will always be felt and remembered.
