Know all people to who this Deed of sales shall come that I Elijah Rawson and Mary my wife of Warren in the County of Bristol in the colony of Rhode Island in New England, yeoman for and in consideration of the sum of thirty and six pounds lawful money to me in hand well and truly paid by Benjamin Barton Junior of said Warren [?] yeoman the receipt whereof we do acknowledge ourselves to be fully and absolutely satisfied contented and paid do acquit and fully discharge the said Benjamin Barton his heirs executors and administrators firmly by these presents have given granted bargained and sold aliened conveyed and confirm and by those present do give grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto him the said Benjamin Barton his heirs [executors] or assigns a certain melsuage or Wood Lott situate lying and being in said Warren in the Freeman's Purchase containing in the whole about twelve acres be the same more or less being the south ends of the Ninth the Tenth and the Eleventh Lotts in said Freeman's Purchase in said Warren. The whole of said Wood Lott is bounded north on the land of [?] belongs to Joseph Butterworth east on the Twelfth Lott in said purchase south on said Freeman's Line west on the eight lott in said Purchase and then due east to the said Twelfth Lott being fourty rods north from said Freeman's Line also a privilege of a bridle way that is [?] for the use of said Wood Lott together with all the singular and said Wood Lott as above bounded with the appurtenances profits privileges and improvements belonging or in any wise appertaining to the said Wood Lott. To him the said Benjamin Barton his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said Benjamin Barton his heirs and assigns for evermore. And that the said Benjamin Barton his heirs and assigns shall forever herafter may by [?] and virtue of these presents have hold use and occupy possess and quietly enjoy all the above granted premiss's with their appurtenances free and clear and clearly acquited and fully discharged of and from all other gifts frants bargains sales mortagages joyntures doweries incumbrances or trouble whatsoever. And further we bind ourselves our heirs [executors administrators] or assigns to warrent and for ever defend all the above granted premiss's with their appurtenances to him the said Benjamin Barton his heirs and assigns against all the lawful claims or demands of all and every person or persons whomsoever. In witness whereof we have hereunto interchangeably set our hands and seals the ninth day of January One Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy & Two in the Twelfth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third of Great Britain King [?]. Elijah Rawson Marry Rawson Signed sealed & delivered in the presence of us - John Booth Dennis Smith Bristol [?] Warren January the 10th day AD: 1772. Then the above named Elijah Rawson & Mary Rawson his wife personaly appearing acknowledged the abovewritten instrument with their seals thereto affixed to be their free wit & deed before me John Kinnicut Justice Peace.
