To all people to whom these presents shall come know ye that I Joseph Butterworth of Warren in the County of Bristol and State of Rhode Island [?] Esq. For and in consideration of the love good will and natural affection which I have and do bear to my grandson Andrew Barton son of my daughter Lois Barton and other good causes me thereunto moving have by these presents given granted bargained conveyed and confirmed unto him the said Andrew Barton his heirs and assigns forever a certain lott of land number one hundred and eighty five in the Second Division in the town called and known by the name of Bullocks Grant [viz?]. Granted to William Bullock Esq. & others in the County of Berkshire in the State of Massachusetts Bay granted April 22nd 1771 which lott was laid out to the original right of Samuel Butterworth to have and to hold all the above granted and bargained premmises with the appertenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Andrew Barton his heirs and assigns forever and that the said Andrew Barton his heirs and assigns may from time to time and at all times forever here after have hold use occupy and peaceably possess and enjoy the [afore?] demises premises they are before the ensealing here of free from all other or former deeds gifts or incumbrances of what name or nature soever that might in any measure or degree hinder or make void this present deed as witness my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of March AD 1781 Signed sealed and delivered in presence of us Samuel Cole Samuel Smith Joseph Butterworth
