Evelyn Jackson Mather (1908-1968) served a Chairman of Production for the Carroll County Chapter of the American Red Cross during World War 2. She coordinated volunteer efforts to produce materials for the war effort, including knitting sweaters for US Servicemen. Mather was a public schoolteacher and public librarian, later head librarian at Davis Library in Westminster.Acquisition
