Ella Albaugh and Lawrence Gillelan married in the Carroll County, Maryland parlor of her parents, Mr. And Mrs. George W. Albaugh. This corset cover is believed to be part of her wedding apparel.
Ella and Lawrence died of the Spanish Flu in 1919. Their effects passed onto the Albaughs, who gave them to their grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ruth, and Margaret. Ruth donated these items to the Carroll County Historical Society.Acquisition
