Context

The College of Union Bridge, Maryland, was originally established as the Maryland Collegiate Institute by the Church of the Brethren in 1899. In 1910, the institution was renamed Blue Ridge College and later relocated to New Windsor, Maryland, in 1912. Despite its growth and development, the college faced financial difficulties and ultimately closed in 1943.
