Reads “This is to certify that Mr. John Beaver (Westminster) of Carroll County and State of Maryland is hereby entitled to a diploma of Merit for “Group in Marble, Holy Family” Executed by him at Eighteen years of age and without instruction. Exhibited at the Annual Fair of the Carroll County Agricultural Society held at Westminster MD. on the first day of October 1869. Mrs. A. M. Kellih (?) secretary Mr. E. Muth (?) President.”
