Print, photographic. B/W photograph of the 1902 ice storm in Westminster. Photograph is looking east down Main Street from Court Street, with a large group of iced over telephone lines having fallen into the street. On the proper right side of the photograph one can see the back of a carriage and a group of men waiting beyond it. On the proper left side of the photograph, a group a kids stand at the foot of a telephone pole. The photograph is mounted on black matboard with the maker's mark in the lower right corner reading, "Micthell's Art Gallery, Westminster, MD". The inscription on the back reads, "L.C. Card- C & P Telephone Co. -Wreck of Telephone Lines in Westminster, MD - Feb. 1902, Main Street, looking East from Court." written in pencil. Overall measurements are 11" x 14"; image size is 7.625"x 9.625".Acquisition
