Print, photographic. State Firemen's Convention Parade, Westminster, "Welcome" arch, probably 1899. B/W photo; shows an arch in the center of the photo that goes over the street; there are American flags all over it and signs on either side of it that say "welcome" on striped shields as well as the word "welcome" in the center of the arch; a miniature fire wagon sits on the cross-bar at base of arch.There are people lining the streets along with wagons and horses. The buildings along the street have American flags and bunting decorating them. A horse and carriage are passing beneath it. There are two men standing at each corner of the arch structure. Mounted on a textured white mat board. On back in black ink "Mrs. Ober S. Herr Sr. donor Welcome Arch 1899?". Overall size 4.75" x 5.75"; photo 3" x 4"
