Print, photographic. Memorial Day Parade, Westminster, c.1910. B/W photograph showing a very long line of of children, mostly dressed in white and holding American flags, and standing in a dirt road. Image taken on Church Street, between the cemetery gates and East Main Street. At the head of the line are scouts, a boy holding an American flag, boys shouldering rifles, and then the other children in white. There are adults lining the opposite side of the road, holding dark umbrellas. There is a white barn in the near background and a house on the opposite side of the road down the way. On back in black ink "Harvey D. Shipley leading a parade - Memorial day. About 1910 - 1st Boy Scout troupe. Harvey D.
