Print, photographic. B/W print showing 2 well-dressed young women in front of the springhouse at Terra Rubra, home of Francis Scott Key. The right side of the spring house has four windows across. There is a road along the right side as well and standing in the road is a buggy with two white horses and a man in the buggy. The back end of the spring house has a chimney at the apex of the shingled roof. There is a fence extending from the back end of the right side. The front of the spring house has a very large overhanging roof that is drooping. There is a space between the front right side of the spring house and then the fence begins again. In that space there is a pile of logs. There is also a woman with a small pill box hat, fur wrap, and black dress leaning against the front right side of the spring house. Leaning against the fence closest to the front right is another woman wearing an elaborate had with feathers on it, a fur stole, a dark colored jacket, and a black skirt. The picture is matted on a piece of black board. On back in red marker "Francis Scott Key Spring House". Overall size 8.25" x 11"; image size 4.5" x 7" C. 1900.Acquisition
