Painting. Portrait, oil on canvas, Benjamin Darby, torso, black coat, gray vest, black tie, light gray hair and sideburns; stretcher frame measures 30" x 25". Gilt and gesso frame measures 39.5" x 34.5" x 4", frame consists of a gilt mat with applied gesso detail with oval cutout and two separate surrounding frames, no marks, Baltimore, c. 1855.
