Description

Bowl, fruit. Pedestal type bowl resembles a shock of corn, with the ears fanning out to comprise the bowl portion, tied together underneath, and the cut stalks fanning out to form the pedestal of the bowl. It measures 11.25" x 11" x 9.5". The bowl is pierced with holes between the ears of corn. Corn leaves fan out from the center shape to form hollows. The entirety of the piece is glazed in blue and white, with the exception of the ears, which are glazed in yellow. Underside of the pedestal is stamped 3043 / 3". c. 1900.
