Belt. Ornate silk and velvet embroidered belt with one half of detailed brass and enamel clasp attached to one end with brass safety pin. Belt is dark grey blue, with Ottoman inspired geometric embroidered details along edges and center of belt. Missing the other half of the clasp. Belt is in fair condition, fraying present where buckle was removed. c.1900, suspected to be earlier. Possibly a "Cypriot clasp" belt from Ottoman tradition. 26" x 1 3/4". 2 1/2" buckle.Acquisition
