Was salvaged from Roop's Mill just before the property was sold in 2000. Roop family line: John Roop m. Catharine Royer; son, David Roop (b.1795 - d.1878) m. Rebecca Geiman. Original gristmill was built by John; David later owned the gristmill and 1,100 adjoining acres. David's son, John D. Roop (b.1838 - d.1929) m. May L. Senseney.
