Note

Christian married Catherine Steffy (15 February 1794 - 13 June 1867). They had 3 children: Martin Steffy Yingling (31 December 1825 - 14 April 1920), Ephraim Yingling (16 November 1827 - 4 November 1903), and Paul Yingling (17 August 1834 - 3 February 1918). Document inside front cover reads: The above was born in the vicinity of Silver Run, Maryland, originally in Frederick County, now in Carroll County, August 17, 1799; died there January 26, 1884, and buried in the cemetery of St. Mary's Reformed Church, Silver Run. He was the youngest son of John Yingling, Jr., born in the same vicinity in 1750, died April 11, 1836, buried in the cemetery of St. Mary's Reformed Church. The latter's will if filed at Frederick County Court House, Frederick, Maryland, in Record Book GME2, pages 161-163. John Yingling, Jr., was the second son of John and Margaretha Elenora (nee Beuckert) Yingling. John Yingling, Sr., was born in Philadelphia County, Pa., in 1719, and died in vicinity of Silver Run, Md., in 1774. The latter's will is on file at the Frederick County Court House, Frederick, Md., see Liber A-1, page 510 and again in Record Book, G M-1, page 97. John Yingling (1719-1774) was the son of Christian Yingling of Philadelphia County (now Montgomery County). The latter died in 1758 and his will is on file at the City Hall, Philadelphia, Pa., in Book of Wills L, 1757-1760, page 90.
