Description

Bowl. Chinese export porcelain. 2.75"h x 9.375"w x 8.125"d. White body with blue transfer print design. Rectangular with rounded corners, sides slope slightly to bottom, raised rim. Around inside, just below rim is a dark blue band; at bottom center is medallion with oriental scene of a small boat on a stream; bridge in foreground and houses along the stream banks. On exterior, each side has one small floral spray at center. Original deed of gift reads "Chinese bowl from the Longwell estate purchased by - [Mrs. G. E. Carpenter]"
