Made by Mary Shellman circa 1876, this unique piece, made from moss, bark, twigs and pebbles, shows her church, Ascension Episcopal, or the “Stone Church,” which still stands today. This work, representing Westminster, earned international praise when it won a prize at the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia.
