Belonged to donor’s grandmother, Margaretta Reistine Jones McCoy. Margaretta married Thomas L. Jones and they had 3 children: Thomas L., Catherine and Mary. After Thomas’s death in 1851, Margaretta remarried in 1851 and had a son, Edmund S. McCoy. Edmund owned a farm near Oakland Mills in Carroll County. Edmund married Anna Matilda Brown. Their daughter, Anna Margaretta McCoy, is the donor.
