Chest, blanket. Pine, 26.5" x 50" x 24.875". Dove-tailing is evident at the side corners. The wood making up the chest bottom protrudes .25" making a molding-like detail, and the chest lid is bordered by an attached raised molding. Otherwise the chest is flat on all sides. It has ball feet 5" high. The chest has a double hinged lid, and a metal key lock. Part of the lock appears to be missing from the lid's underside. There is a wood lid support arm attached by one screw to the left side interior of the chest. The chest has been painted a dark reddish to blackish mahogany color. 1800-1850Acquisition
