General Notes

Note

Won by Robert Wyndham Walden [b. August 2, 1843 – d. April 28, 1905] of Bowling Brook Farm, Middleboro, Md. Given to his granddaughter, Thelma Walden (Littlefield) Shriner [b. 30 October 1895 – d. 12 April 1994], (donor) who used it as a punch bowl. HSCC newsletter, Vol. 13, No. 1, January 1963 under the heading "Recent Gifts" lists "Silver punch bowl and ladle, 'Clagbaugh Memorial Cup', Pimlico, 1905, Mrs. Earle Shriner, Union Bridge, donor." Was never accessioned at that time and mistakenly cataloged as part of Hard Lodging donation. Used with 94.7.2 and .3.
