HSCC newsletter, Vol. 8, #4, November 1959 mentions the John T. Erb coverlet "was given by his daughters, Miss Edna Erb and Mrs. Lillian Erb Byers;" does not specify year but coverlet was in HSCC possession by 1959. Original deed of gift reads "C-1145 Coverlet made by John T. Erb". AF tag on roll reads: Damask coverlet; red, blue, green, cream. Weaver -Mathias (?) for John T. Erb. Classical design grapes. C:1145 Several coverlets were accessioned twice by creating a duplicate deed of gift in the late 1970s. This may be one .
