Coverlet. William H. Gernand. Jacquard; warp of natural and blue cotton; warp of green red and navy wool. Two pieces, seamed down center. Body has rows of 4 floral medallion with cross at center; wide border with vine and leaves. Maker's block in corner "W.H. GERNAND DAMASK COVERLET"; inscription "L.C. FRANKLIN." 1857.
