Diary. Piece of paper taped inside front reads "Mrs. T. J. Stitely Rural Company Wagon D Union Mills Carroll County, Md." This may be the person who kept the diary but it appears there is more than one handwriting. Entries from 1887; book has 1885 calendar but on first page 1885 is crossed out and 1887 is written in. Some lists of expenses at back. Light brown leather cover. Thin red cotton ribbon inside book appears to have been used as a bookmark. 6" x 3.5" x .5"
