Black and white photograph of the Birnie Trust Co. in Taneytown, MD. The photograph shows the two story brick building with half of the building belonging to the business, the other half unknown. The photograph shows that on the Birnie side, the entrance way is flanked with two ionic columns which are repeated in the above windows. Greek keys and other designs decorate the window edges, while a semi circular arch window crowns the roof. "Geo. H. Birnie and Co." is seen over the door as well as painted on the glass of the door. The photograph is mounted on gray matboard and the overall size is 12.0"x 9.5". The image size is 9.5"x 7.5". On the bottom proper right corner the maker's mark reads, "Zepp, Taneytown, MD".
