Print, photographic. B/W albumen print of the Frank Englar farmhouse. Large brick structure with two-story porch at center. At center is man seated on a bench; to his left stands a woman holding a baby. Another woman stands at proper right side. Mounted on white board with gold design around edge. Written on back in green ink: "This house, still standing between Linwood and Union Bridge, on Route 75 (north side) is now (1980) by Dr. Emil White, Johns Hopkins University professor. View faces south - evergreen trees 'long gone.' Upper and lower porches now enclosed. Joe Getty has made a study of this house. Photo of Mr. Francis J. Englar (1853-1921), his wife and son Fenton or Charles. Builder: unknown. May have been a member of the Shriner family as above Francis was son of William Englar (1825-1856) and Hannah Shriner (1824-1898). 3 Shriner farms contiquous to the South. Four sons born to this union. 3rd son Francis (Frank) next owner. His wife Jeanette Engle was gr. Niece of scupltor Rinehart. Next owner: Mr. And Mrs. E. Garner. Present (1980): Prof. E.H. White."
