Charles O. Fuss moved to Taneytown from Uniontown in 1878. He grew up in Uniontown and worked with his father, David, a cabinetmaker and undertaker. Charles established his business on George St. in Taneytown, later moving to this building on Main St. In 1914, Charles' son, Merwyn, join the business. Charles died in 1930. Part of a collection containing items belonging to or collected by the Stuller and Myers families of Carroll County, Maryland. These include personal papers, post cards, programs of community activities, memorial programs from the funerals of family friends, yearbooks from a number of county high schools, numerous photographs, and an Odd Fellows uniform.
