Scope and Content

Land grant with seal, framed. Document dated April 26th 1754 granting 195 acres of land to William Farquaar of Frederick County with attached great seal of Maryland. Document contains handwritten and printed text. Small piece of paper tucked into frame reads "EARLY LAND GRANT ------ FARQUAAR COLLECTION OF DR. ARTHUR G. TRACEY". Fair condition, document has small holes along previous fold lines and seal shows age and wear and handwritten portions are faded but still legible. Framed: 17 1/2" L x 15 1/2" W x 3/4" D". Document 11 3/4" L x 13" W. Seal (from ribbon) 4" L x 3 1/2" W.
