Kit, medicine. Belonged to Dr. Francis J. Crawford. Rectangular box, domed hinged lid. Wood, covered in hide with strips of red leather held on with round tacks, notched trim along front edge. C-shaped metal handle on top of lid.Lined with newspaper. 7"h x 15"w x 8.5"d.

Original deed of gift reads "Dr. Francis Jesse Crawford's 1819-1885 medicine trunk". Donor was Dr. Crawford's granddaughter. Note in accession file indicated donor as Crawford's great-grandson, Francis Jesse Crawford III.
