Note
Part of a collection of documents from Benjamin's/Krider's United Church of Christ, Westminster, Md. The parish was established as Krider's German Reformed Church. It shared a building (constructed in 1809) with the Lutheran parish until 1890 when the two groups built their own churches. In 1937 the Reformed Church of the United States merged with the Evangelical Synod of North America to create the Evangelical and Reformed Church of America. The parish became Krider's Evangelical and Reformed Church. In 1957, the Evangelical and Reformed Church of America merged with the Congregational Christian Church to create the United Church of Christ. The parish became Benjamin's Krider's United Church of Christ. Note glued inside front board indicates that book was microfilmed in 1947 and a copy placed at the Historical society of the Reformed Church, Frankenthal Library, Franklin and Marshall College, Lancaster, PA. Translation of records included in Volume 9, Maryland German Church Records series published by HSCC.
